Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

 

Should a student not be able to attend the Friday parade or any BB related activities, the SOP should follow the sequence stated below.

 

Absence from Parade and BB Related Activities (Without MC)

 

Step 1: The student must get the approval from the teacher prior to his absence from the parade. If approval is not                       granted, the boy must attend the parade/activities. Any absence without teacher's approval is considered as                     truancy and will be dealt with accordingly to the school rules.

 

Step 2: Once approval is granted on valid ground, student must exercise personal responsibility to inform Platoon                         Sergeant of his platoon.

 

Approval must be seeked at least 1 week in advance (except for unforeseen circumstances)

 

 

Absence from Parade and BB Related Activities (With MC)

 

Step 1: In the case of medical leave, no approval is needed from teacher. However, the student must inform the teacher               as well as his platoon sergeant before the commencement of the parade.

 

Step 2: Student must take personal responsibility to submit a hardcopy of his MC to the teacher on the day he return to               school from his medical leavel.

 

In the event that the student does not submit his MC, he will be considered to be absent from the parade and possibly taken as a case of truancy and dealt with accordingly.

 

 

Late from Parade due to Valid School Commitment

 

Prior to the parade, student must exercise personal responsibility to inform the teacher and his platoon sergeant that he will be late for the parade and he must provide the reason and state the time of his reporting (to the CCA). Disciplinary action will be taken against late-comer who did not inform teacher AND platoon sergeant prior to the parade.

 

 

SOP During Parade Reporting

 

Grooming and Attire

 

  1. Uniform must be neat and tidy.

  2. Nails must be kept short and clean.

  3. Hair must be short and tidy.

 

Valuable and possession

  1. Valuable such as handphone and wallet must be kept in the valuable box for safekeeping.

  2. Only CSM and COS are allowed to have their handphone in their possession for the purpose of communicating with teachers . Platoon sergeants must keep their handphone in the valuable box.
